The Committee on Disability Issues in Psychology (CDIP) of the American Psychological Association (APA) is soliciting nominations for the Committee on Disability Issues in Psychology Significant Contribution Award.

This award recognizes an APA member who has made a significant contribution to enhancing the lives of, as well as promoting the inclusion of, people with disabilities in society.

The nominator is asked to compile and submit the following materials:

  • A letter of nomination not to exceed 500 words (written by the nominator) describing the specific achievements and contributions to people with disabilities within society. Nominee contributions may be of a scientific, professional, educational, mentoring, leadership, and/or political nature.
  • A current curriculum vitae of the nominee
  • 2 letters of support

Nominations and all supporting materials must be received no later than May 5, 2017. The award will be presented by members of CDIP at the 2017 APA Annual Convention in Washington, DC.
