Frontiers in Psychology has been a trend-setter in several areas, not least of which involving “collaborative peer review” which not only speeds the process of rigorous peer review, but also tends to lead to better and more transparent outcomes.  Frontiers has received awards for innovation in publishing, and recently merged with Nature Publishing Group, making a strong statement about our commitment to quality and rigor on open-access publishing.  We are expecting an announcement of the impact factor very soon, and expect it to be strong.

I am the founding editor of the Educational Psychology specialty section of Frontiers in Psychology, Frontiers in Educational Psychology.  For the past five years I have worked to build something I (we) would be proud of.  We have an international editorial board and a good start.  There are many strong associate editors and review editors (reviewers).  I am looking for a colleague who is interested in joining me as co-editor, someone with a vision for pushing the publication to the next level.  Over the next few years I would like to work closely with this individual to create a strong, scholarly outlet for our field, and eventually would transition the editorship over to this person entirely.

Much more information can be had at http://www.frontiersin.org/.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact me at [email protected] and send a letter summarizing your vision for what you would like to do with the journal in the near future, your experience/qualifications, and a cv also.
