Division 15 of APA is offering two Outstanding Student Poster Awards for posters presented at the 2018 convention. These awards recognize outstanding research presented by Division 15 Students at the Annual Meeting of the American Psychological Association. Each awardee receives $500.
All students who have accepted proposals for the Division 15 2018 Program as first authors are eligible for this award. If you meet these criteria and would like to be considered for this award, please complete the form located at this link. This submission must be complete by April 23, 2018.
Program co-chairs will select award nominees from the submissions made at the above link. An awards committee will review these posters during the 2018 APA convention. Poster award nominees will be asked to send an updated proposal and pdf of the poster in advance of the convention.
To be considered for this award individual must:
- attend the 2018 meeting and present as first-author on a poster at the 2018 meeting in a Division 15 Session
- be a student at the time of the poster submission
- be a member of Division 15 (click here for Division 15 membership)
Nominated posters will be evaluated by the Evaluation Committee on the following criteria:
- conceptual/theoretical grounding of the research
- quality of methods and analysis
- alignment of research findings with conclusions and implications
- contribution to the field of educational psychology
- poster aesthetics
- verbal presentation/discussion at poster session
