The Committee on Disability Issues in Psychology (CDIP) of the American Psychological Association (APA) is soliciting nominations for the Committee on Disability Issues in Psychology Significant Contribution Award.
This award recognizes an APA member who has made a significant contribution to people with disabilities through promoting inclusion, advancing knowledge and research, participating in advocacy, and fostering empowerment of people with disabilities in society.
The nominator is asked to compile and submit the following materials:
• A letter of nomination not to exceed 500 words (written by the nominator) describing the specific achievements and contributions to people with disabilities within society. Nominee contributions may be of a scientific, professional, educational, mentoring, leadership, and/or political nature.
• A current curriculum vitae of the nominee
• 2 letters of support
Nominations and all supporting materials must be received no later than June 1, 2018. The award will be presented by members of CDIP at the 2018 APA Annual Convention in San Francisco, CA.
