Previously, you have received a call for proposals for this year’s convention in Washington, DC, APA 2020. In that call, it listed individual papers could be submitted as a proposal type for symposia consideration. We have just learned that beginning this year, APA will no longer allow individual papers to be considered for paper symposia. All paper proposals must be submitted in the form of a pre-established symposium otherwise all individual submissions will be considered for poster sessions.

If you wish to propose and present a paper (vs. a poster) we encourage you to reach out to colleagues with similar research interests and consider submitting a symposium. We will have additional allocations for symposia, therefore increasing the likelihood of acceptance. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and look forward to receiving your submissions by next Monday.

With much appreciation,

Jamaal Matthews and Nicole Barnes, Program Chairs.
