We are looking for English native speakers to participate in our research study in relation to language
cognition. To be specific, we are interested in the way native speakers recognize and process VERB + NOUN collocations in sentence contexts. The survey should take approximately 25 minutes to complete. You will be automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $20 Amazon digital gift card. You must be 18 years or older to participate in this study. You may choose not to answer or quit the survey anytime if you find any question uncomfortable to answer. We appreciate your willingness to participate and value your feedback.
** Cloze Test
The following test will ask you to fill in the blank, you will see a phrase followed by a blank space where you will enter the word you think belongs. Please ensure the word is a noun that follows subject-verb agreement (ex. He stayed up late to do ____ for class tomorrow. In this case, you could enter homework. Another example, The knife can slice ____ easily. In this case, you could enter pizzas). There are 168 sentences totally.
Again, please enter ONLY ONE NOUN in the blank. Also, keep in mind the subject-verb agreement (no articles such as a/an required)
