Aperture Education is in the process of developing a self-report version of the DESSA for middle school students to report on their own social and emotional skills! We are looking for middle school students (6-8 grades) to complete a brief online rating of their social and emotional strengths and basic demographic information about themselves. It will take students no longer than 20 minutes, and students and sites will be compensated for their time. Sites who provide the maximum number of ratings will also receive 100 free student licenses good for one year following release of the self-report!

We are seeking thousands of ratings from students across the United States. We aim to standardize the assessment across a large and diverse sample of students with different strengths and needs. With your help, we will be able to ensure the assessment consistently and accurately assesses the social and emotional skills of middle school students and reflects the diversity of students in today’s world.

Please see this official flyer for more details. You may contact Sara Prewett ([email protected]), Emily Parker ([email protected]), and Matt Buczek ([email protected]) with any questions or to participate.
