The National Institute of Justice’s (NIJ) recently released solicitation for funding to support research on school-based hate crimes. With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals from accredited research universities to conduct a study of hate crimes in the K-12 education system to understand the scope, characteristics, and outcomes of these incidents.

Applications must be submitted in a two-step process, each with its own deadline:
Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov.
Step 1, Grants.gov, Deadline: March 22, 2024, 11:59 pm Eastern
Submit the full application including attachments in JustGrants.
Step 2, Application JustGrants, Deadline: April 5, 2024, 8:59 pm Eastern
Applicants must register with Grants.gov and JustGrants prior to submitting an application. Be sure to review the basic minimum requirements to advance to peer review and receive consideration for funding, as well as review the application checklist provided in the solicitation.
