The Division 15 Practice Committee is excited to invite submissions for a series of Educational Practice Briefs focused on the Teacher Well-being. As educators and researchers, it is essential to explore and share research that supports the physical, emotional, and mental health of teachers, especially in today’s educational landscape.
About the Practice Brief Series
Educational Practice Briefs aim to bridge research and practice, providing actionable insights and strategies that can be directly applied in schools and classrooms. These briefs are designed to be practical, accessible, and relevant for educators, and administrators.
Focus Area: Teacher Well-being
The well-being of teachers is fundamental to a thriving educational environment. With increasing demands and challenges, it is crucial to prioritize strategies that support teachers’ holistic health. This call seeks contributions that highlight recent research that focuses on teacher well-being.
Proposal Submission Guidelines
We welcome submissions from educators, researchers, administrators, and organizations engaged in advancing teacher well-being. Each proposal should contain the following:
(1) How the authors frame the problem being addressed,
(2) summary of some of the major research findings (2 or more examples),
(3) summary of some of the implications for practice (2 or more examples),
(4) specification of the primary and secondary audiences that would be addressed (e.g., teachers, administrators, parents, policymakers, professional development providers),
(5) the author(s)’ qualifications for writing the brief (including previous research publications, experience writing for educators, etc.), and
(6) the names and contact information of 2-3 other experts in the field who could be invited to review the brief. Proposals should be 1-3 pages in length, single spaced.
