Dear Colleagues,

We are inviting chapter proposals for an upcoming edited volume tentatively titled:
Ostracism and Social Dynamics: Causes, Consequences, and Interventions, to be published by Nova Science Publishers in 2026.

This scholarly volume will examine the multifaceted nature of ostracism and social exclusion across interpersonal, intergroup, digital, organizational, and educational contexts. It aims to offer new insights into the antecedents, mechanisms, and interventions related to ostracism—drawing from psychology, neuroscience, sociology, communication, education, and related fields.

We welcome contributions that address, but are not limited to:

  • Interpersonal and peer-based ostracism
  • Workplace exclusion and organizational dynamics
  • Intergroup ostracism, social identity, and marginalization
  • Linguistic ostracism in multicultural or multilingual settings
  • Digital ostracism and online exclusion (e.g., cyber-ostracism)
  • Biological and physiological correlates/consequences (e.g., cortisol, inflammation, challenge/threat response)
  • Prevention and intervention strategies across developmental stages or institutions
