The 25th Occasional Temperament Conference (OTC25) will be on November 6 to 8, 2025 at Texas A&M University. OTC is an international conference that unites researchers and practitioners from around the world who have a special interest in the study of temperament and in a variety of contexts and stages of development. There will be a PreConference chaired by Kathleen Rudasill (Virginia Commonwealth) and Robert Pianta (University of Virginia), as well as a Symposium at the Conference, focused on Temperament in the School and Classroom Contexts. Please visit the OTC25 webpage for all details and the Call for AbstractsSubmission for presentations and the Early Bird Rate deadline for presentations is August 1, 2025. Registration includes the welcome reception, coffee breaks, lunches, and the Awards Gala & Dinner for the conference.

tentative schedule for OTC25 is available for your planning. There are two sessions for the Pre-Conference on Innovative, Rigorous, and Equitable Research Methods in Temperament Research and on Temperament in the School and Classroom Contexts: Research and PracticeMartha Ann Bell (Virginia Tech) and Xinyi Chen (University of Pennsylvania) are the Keynote Speakers. There will also be research symposia chaired by top researchers focused on a range of themes, including prenatal, infant, and early childhood development to childcare, education and clinical practice to health, adjustment, and psychopathology to genetic and neurobiological aspects of temperament.
