The Division 15 Public Scholarship Webinar Series presents

How Educational Psychology Researchers Can Mobilize Their Research to Positively Impact Practice
July 25, Fri., noon EDT

The webinar will explore how educational psychology researchers are sharing their findings in ways that can positively impact practice. An upcoming series of practice briefs focused on educator well-being will be highlighted, emphasizing strategies that Division 15 members can use themselves to cope with the chaos and stress of challenges created by the present political environment. We will discuss ways participants can adapt their own work to support practitioners. Space will be offered to build community and provide mutual support for continuing to do work that enhances equitable and inclusive practices in our teaching, service, and research.

Panelists:

  • Tim Pressley will introduce an upcoming series of practice briefs about teacher well-being to help support the profession, especially in these uncertain times. Evidence-based findings can support Division 15 members dealing with workplace stress and chaos will be highlighted.
  • Rachel Renbarger will lead a discussion about the work webinar attendees are doing and how it might be adapted for future briefs serving practitioners.
  • Meca Williams-Johnson and Alysia Roehrig will start a discussion about how educational psychologists can move safely in the current political climate to still do the DEI work we value and achieve our goals related to wellness.
