Our work as Division 15 members often involves partnering with teachers, parents, administrators, and districts to address problems of educational practice and improve K-12 schools for generations to come. This may include:
- Research-practitioner partnerships
- Professional development, talks, workshops, consulting
- Writing briefs (for policy or research)
- Publishing (manuscripts/briefs/policy statements) in outlets that practitioners or policy makers access
- Activism or advocacy
- And all the other great things that you do that we have not thought of specifically.
The Division 15 Ad-Hoc Professional Learning Committee would like to recognize the ways that our Division members are making a difference every day by including brief Spotlights of this work in Division 15 outlets. Potential outlets include the APA Division 15 website and Facebook page, Weekly Digest, Psychology Today, or the Newsletter for Educational Psychologists.
Please share your work with The Division 15 Professional Learning Committee by submitting the following information using this link by May 18th, 2018:
- Institutional Affiliation
- Partnership Affiliation (primary partnering organization for which your work is being recognized)
- Contact Information of Partnering Entity (contact’s name, title, and email address)
- Description of your contributions to the research-practice partnership (maximum of 5,000 characters)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV), which provides a broader picture of your work and other efforts that may not have been emphasized in a narrative description.
We will review submissions and contact selected individuals no later than June 30, 2018. Those with questions may contact Beverly Faircloth (bsfaircl@uncg.edu) and DeLeon Gray (dlgray2@ncsu.edu).
