We’re pleased to announce Part IV of the Division 15 ECEP Series!

This series is designed to provide ongoing opportunities to discuss critical issues impacting educational psychology scholars in the early stages of their careers. A major aim of this series is to engage, learn, and share ideas and resources as we consider how our teaching, scholarship, and service can be responsive to our students and the communities we work with.

Part IV: Key considerations for doing community-engaged work: How to set yourself up to successfully collaborate with researchers, students, and school partners.  In this discussion, a team of research and school partners across four institutions will (a) discuss lessons learned in collaborating on our in-progress, community-engaged work and (b) invite input from audience members. In doing so, we will represent and draw from multiple perspectives, including Ph.D. students, teachers, school administrators, and early-career, mid-career, and senior scholars.

This discussion will be held on Tue May 18, 2021 from 4:30 until 5:30 pm EST. Please register here; Zoom link will follow.

The event will be facilitated by:

  • Dr. Alison Koenka, with Drs. Sandra Graham and DeLeon Gray
  • Kori Nicolai and Maggie Wallace (VCU Ph.D. students)
  • Destini Braxton (VCU Ph.D. student and Richmond Public Schools (RPS) middle school math teacher)
  • Cassandra Bell and Dr. Autumn Nabors (RPS partners)
