Please come and participate in the first event of our year’s theme, “Exploring Educational Psychology’s Identity.” This event involves a series of 1-hour participatory workshops, each highlighting a partially overlapping segment of our community. The workshops aim to facilitate members’ personal and collective identity exploration around being educational psychologists, and to generate insights for the design of further activities focusing on emergent goals. Attendees will access these events via standard Zoom rooms, as we truly hope to foster discussion among all who attend.

The workshops highlight experiences, values, needs, and insights relating to career stages (graduate student, early-career, mid-career, senior) and professional foci (teaching; research; practice & policy). Please consider these segments as fluid, partially overlapping, and diverse. The teaching-focus is inclusive of teaching in different settings and of different topics and students. The research-focus is inclusive of diverse research paradigms, methodologies, research questions, and activities. The practice and policy-focus is inclusive of any activity relating educational psychology to practice and policy. Please remember: Members can participate in each workshop they consider to be a fit with their professional identity—engagement across overlapping segments is encouraged.

The schedule for all events and their respective highlighted segments:
