Division 15 members are invited to complete a survey as part of CODAPAR’s needs assessment project, Putting Age-Friendly Principles into Practice: Supporting and Engaging Late Stage Career Psychologists in APA. The study is a collaboration of Divisions 20 (Adult Development and Aging), 12-2 (Clinical Geropsychology), 2 (Society for the Teaching of Psychology) and 18 (Psychologists in Public Service), and is funded by the APA Interdivisional Grant Program.

Those willing may complete this survey here: https://paloaltou.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_02mX4PuKkkCMcTQ.

The survey gathers information about how APA and its Divisions can better support and engage its members, especially those who are in their late career stages and those who may be considering retiring, are transitioning through retirement, or have retired. The study was in part motivated by Division 20’s recent endorsement of the Age-Friendly University (AFU) initiative which provides a guiding framework for how institutions can respond to aging populations. This study extends the AFU philosophy to divisional practices by drawing on the AFU principle that advocates for engaging actively with one’s retired community.

The survey includes background questions as well as questions that explore members’ perspectives and interests as they relate to late career needs. The information will be used to address concerns by providing recommendations for programming and resources to support age-diverse individuals affiliated with APA. The survey is conducted via Qualtrics and should take about 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you for your time and effort!
