A special issue of Psychological Studies on the “Changing Nature of Social Stigma: Context and Experiences” is seeking submissions. Psychological Studies is the Official Journal of the National Academy of Psychology (NAOP), India and is currently being published by Springer. It is indexed in SCOPUS and in ESIC along with other major indexing sources.
Contributions to this special issue are expected to contribute to the psychological literature by presenting evidence-based analysis to enhance our understanding of different stigmatized groups and their experiences. The papers may focus on, but not limited to, one or more of the following topics:
- Various forms of stigma: Experiences in socio-cultural contexts
- Stigmatized groups: Social identity and status
- Consequences and stigmatization: Social, psychological, and health
- Marginalization and discrimination of Stigmatized people
- Stigmatized groups: Economic deprivation and coping with poverty
- Stigmatized groups and their coping strategies
- Psychological and sociocultural correlates of stigma experiences
